コルビュジエの弟子としてパリの事務所で働き、帰国後はアントニン・レーモンドの元で学び、戦前・戦後の日本のモダニズム建築のパイオニアとなった前川國男。自邸は元々現在の目黒駅近くの東京都品川区上大崎にありましたが、解体されたのち東京・小金井市にある「江戸東京たてもの園」に寄贈、再建され、現在も敷地内に保存されおります。

Kunio Maekawa worked as a pupil of Corbusier in his office in Paris, and after returning to Japan, he studied under Antonin Raymond and became a pioneer of modernist architecture in Japan before and after the war. His residence was originally located in Kamiosaki, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, near the current Meguro Station, but after it was demolished, it was donated and rebuilt to the "Edo Tokyo Tatomono Garden" in Koganei City, Tokyo, and is still preserved on the premises.
